Let us know the meaning of LGBTQIA+

Lesbian: When a woman or girl has attraction for the same sex then they are called lesbian. In this, both the partners are women. Many times, the looks and personality of one partner may or may not be like that of a man.

Gay: When a man has attraction towards another man then he is called 'gay'. The word 'gay' is sometimes used for the entire homosexual community, which includes 'lesbian', 'gay', 'bisexual' etc.

Bisexual: When a man or woman is attracted to both men and women and also has sexual relations, then they are called bisexual. Both men and women can be bisexual.

Transgender: They come under third gender. These are those people whose genitals (private parts) are like that of a man at the time of birth and who are considered a boy. But with time, when these people grow up and recognize their existence, they consider themselves girls. Then they will be called transwomen and if it is the reverse then they will be called transmen.

Queer: The entire LGBTI community is called queer community. We can also say that people who have neither been able to decide their identity nor their physical desires, that is, those who neither consider themselves man, woman or transgender nor lesbian, gay or bisexual, are called queer.

Intersex: According to the Intersex Society of North America, this term defines people who are not born with the normal reproductive organs of a woman or a man. This is also considered a part of transgender. These are those people for whom after birth it is not clear by looking at their genitals (private parts) whether they are a boy or a girl.

Asexual or Ally: In this the word asexual is used for those people who do not feel sexual attraction towards any gender. These people can enter into a romantic relationship with someone, but are unable to have sexual relations. At the same time, the word ally is used for those people who raise their voice for the rights of LGBTQI people as their companions or friends. It is not necessary that Alai himself belongs to this community.
